Commercial Low Slope Roofing

TPO is short for Thermo-Plastic Olephine. TPO consists of a reflective and durable single-ply membrane. This type of Low Slope roofing system is easy to install and uses heat-welded seams to prevent leaking.
Hot forced air from electric heaters is used to fuse flashings and seams together for a solid bond. TPO is available in larger widths than most traditional roofing systems which means fewer seams and less chance for failure.

Commercial Low Slope Roofing in Denver

TPO

TPO is available in multiple colors but white is the most common. A White TPO roof is a highly reflective surface earning it a cool roof or green roof title. The white TPO roof exceeds current energy efficiency standards and is a US Department of Energy, Energy Star rated roofing system

General Information:

  • The performance of rubber with heat-welded seams.
  • The weathering and low-temperature flexibility of EPDM with the superior seam strength of heat-weldable membranes.
  • White membranes reflect sunlight and cool building interior for energy savings.
  • Wide sheets mean fewer seams and less labor compared to standard PVC sheets.
  • More product on top of the scrim where you need it most – one of the thickest top plies in the industry.
  • Minimal shrinkage for watertight integrity you can count on.
  • Complete line of TPO Accessories such as Pre-fabricated Pipe Boots and Pre-Cut Corners.
  • Standard System Warranties and Membrane-Only Material Warranties.
  • Mechanically Attached, Fully Adhered, and Ballasted System Specifications.
  • Membrane meets or exceeds ASTM performance standards.

EPDM

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer or, EPDM roofing for short, is a great material for low slope roofing applications. EPDM roofing comprised of a synthetic rubber that acts as a roofing membrane and is made special for flat roof tops.

Developed here in America in the 1960’s, EPDM roofing was designed to be flexible, have a high tensile strength, and weather resistant in any climate. The EPDM roofing system was developed to withstand temperatures ranging from -45 to 100 degrees Centigrade without cracking or tearing.

EPDM is also environmentally friendly, and is unaffected by UV light and ozone. The elastic nature of EPDM roofing allows it to stretch up to 300% allowing it to accommodate temperature cycling and building settling. The EPDM roof system can last over 20 years and requires little to no maintenance.

  • Proven systems designed to maximize labor savings & roof lifecycle.
  • Fast Roofs! with Mule-Hide Acrylic Water Base Bonding Adhesive. Single-side, wet application lets contractors accept more jobs, have fewer callbacks. Plus, great for crew retention.
  • Laminated Tapes are designed for a consistent thickness and width of seam.
  • Complete line of EPDM Accessories like Pre-Fabricated Pipe Boots and Pre-Cut Corners.
  • Standard System Warranties and Membrane-Only Material Warranties.
  • Fully Adhered, Ballasted, & Mechanically Attached System Specifications.
  • Membrane meets or exceeds ASTM performance standards.

PVC

PVC Roofing was developed in the European market and found its way to American shores in the 1970’s. Today, PVC can be found on roughly 10% of roofs in the US. The reliability and durability of the reinforced PVC membrane makes it perfect for Low Slope roofing applications because it is highly resistant to puncture and impact resistant. The easy application process to any shape of roof and the virtually no maintenance makes this type of roofing material a great solution for most commercial applications.

  • Durable systems designed for maximized roof lifecycle.
  • White membranes reflect sunlight and cool building interior for energy savings.
  • Flexibility and physical integrity to resist cracking after prolonged exposure to minus 30°F.
  • Strength to defy uplift damage or de-lamination from strong winds and highly tear-resistant yet easy to repair or add new cutouts.
  • Minimal shrinkage, a major factor affecting membrane performance and longevity.
  • Quick, one-pass installation with a small, trained crew, backed by Mule-Hide Special Solutions Support.
  • Complete line of PVC Accessories such as Pre-fabricated Pipe Boots and Pre-Cut Corners.
  • Standard System Warranties and Membrane-Only Material Warranties.
  • Mechanically Attached and Fully Adhered System Specifications.
  • Membrane meets or exceeds ASTM performance standards.

Modified Bitumen

Modified Bitumen is built up asphalt roofing with rubber or plastic polymers added. By adding modifiers like plastic or rubber the modified bitumen roof becomes more durable and its surface becomes more reflective to sunlight. The most common polymers added to the asphalt in a modified bitumen roof are APP (Atactic Polypropylene) and SBS (Styrene Bitadine Styrene). The durability and reflective nature of this roofing system gives modified bitumen a life span of 10 to 20 years with very little maintenance.

Rolls of modified bitumen come in widths of 36” to 39” and cover an area of 100 to 112sq. feet. The large coverage area and easy installation of modified bitumen makes it ideal for large commercial roofing applications.

Due to the variations in roofing substrate, modified bitumen roofing systems have been designed to adapt to any application and can even be applied or “built-up”over multiple plies of fiberglass felt or other pre-existing roofing materials.

Modified Bitumen has a proven track record for commercial and industrial roofing applications.
